We presented the debut studio album of Ksenia Chubunova, young singer with such a rare type of voice — dramatic mezzo-soprano. The album’s contents is unusual. As the first part we have chosen 5 songs of Sergey Rachmaninov in honor of his 145th birth anniversary. In the second half you will hear a rarely perfomed song cycle of Richard Wagner, dedicated to Mathilde Wesendonck. Music of this album is fraught with love and bright feeling.
Piano part was performed by Dmitry Maximenko, our resident artist, and his play completes the richness of voice with colourfull nuances.
This record was made Smart Audio Recording Studio using excellent analog audio hardware and vintage microphones in March, 2019. Mastering was performed on Studer A80 using SM900 tape.
